The Background
The idea of Akhriye was in great demand throughout Somalia, and there was no easy way to listen to books in Somalia, both Somali books and foreign language books. The idea was not yet implemented in the country. Akhriye team came up with this idea in the hope that it would bear fruits, yooltech turned the idea into something useful.

The challenge was to design an audiobook app that is highly personal, highly interactive and has the ability to bring even more utility to the user than a book ever could.

Akhriye has been around for two years, having a huge impact in the country, making it easier for you to listen to a book with your other activities and not have to worry about your other affairs. Akhriye is an attempt to make audiobooks feel more like actual books, and give the users the power to judge it, not just based on the narrator’s voice. It’s an Appreciate audiobook library, where you can buy and play audiobooks. Akhriye audiobooks are not the usual player based audiobooks.
